Bruksbo teak sideboard
Bruksbo teak sideboard
A fantastic looking 50's teak credenza/sideboard from Bruksbo, Norway. Produced by Raknes Møbelfabrikk in Bergen, Norway. Most probably designed by Torbjørn Afdal, but this needs to be confirmed. It's stamped January 1957 on the backside together with the Raknes and Bruksbo logo.
It has a cool presence in the room standing taller and being a bit shorter than more common sixties sideboards. The handles are beautifully carved into the drawers and doors, and the "frame" is chunky but sleek with its inward curved shape.
This has been in one home since it was bought in 1957 and lovingly taken care of in all these years. We removed many layers of teak-oil and added some fresh oil.
It's in a really good condition, but has a few marks and dings. That said, nothing serious and a good looking teak classic.
